Located just 45 minutes north of Toronto
in the scenic
Hills of Headwaters region, the Burdette Gallery is nestled
amongst 65 acres of whispering pines and rolling meadows which
you can explore through a network of paths and trails. Known for rolling hills, deep valleys, spectacular fall
colours and the unique headwaters of four major river systems,
it seems our exciting landscape has stirred the artist soul.
History, beauty and art are everywhere here in the Hills of
Headwaters!
There is plenty to explore around the Gallery. Paths and trails
wind their way through woods and meadows; deer and rabbits are often seen, and countless
songbirds frequent the feeders around the Gallery. The property
is open for your enjoyment during Gallery hours. There are
picnic areas for a summer picnic and the property is open for
cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.
The
Gallery represents approximately 100 artists who are locally,
nationally, and internationally renowned. The Gallery is
wheelchair accessible.
Gallery staff are available
to answer any questions or help guide your visit. If you prefer
to explore the Gallery on your own, there are biographies posted
with artists' work to help make your self-guided tour more
informative.
